Benzoyl peroxide has antiseptic and keratolytic properties inhibits (due to the release of oxygen) the development of anaerobic microorganisms Propionibacterium in acne promotes pore cleansing. The drug penetrates the skin, where it turns into benzoic acid.

Indications for use.

Topical treatment and Prevention of acne vulgaris in adults and children over 12 years of age.


Hypersensitivity to benzoyl peroxide and other components of the drug.

Special warnings and precautions.

The drug is intended for external use only.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Possible discoloration of eyebrow hair and colored tissues.

To prevent an allergic reaction, it is recommended to apply Ugresol to a small area of skin on the wrist and observe for 48 hours: if edema or itching occurs with severe hyperemia, discontinue use. In the first weeks of treatment, there may be a slight peeling and redness of the skin, which disappears over time.

The drug should not be used in the elderly.

Use during pregnancy or lactation.

The drug can be systematically absorbed. It is not known whether benzoyl peroxide enters breast milk. No research has been conducted on this issue.

Ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms. The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles.

Children. Contraindicated for children under 12 years of age.

Dosage and administration.

Shake the bottle several times before use.

Apply the product in a thin layer on washed and dried skin affected by acne gently rub with your fingertips until completely absorbed. Start the application 1 time a day, then gradually increase to 2-3 times a day. In case of excessive dryness or flaking, it is necessary to reduce the application to 1 time a day or every other day. The optimal therapeutic effect usually develops within 8-12 weeks from the start of use. For prevention purposes, you can continue treatment 1 time a day until you get a stable remission. The course of application should not exceed three months.

In severe cases, Ugresol is combined with other acne treatments.


Symptoms: excessive hyperemia dryness burning itching flaking or swelling of the skin.

Treatment: it is recommended to wipe the skin with a gauze or cotton swab moistened with vegetable oil. Symptoms require medical intervention only when they do not go away for a long time and cause anxiety. Sometimes it is necessary to apply creams or ointments containing glucocorticosteroids.

Side effects.

In some cases a few days after the start of treatment the drug may cause irritation accompanied by redness peeling or dry skin a feeling of warmth tingling burning and itching.

Very rare: skin rash allergic contact dermatitis (burning, blistering and crusting, itching, redness or swelling).

Minor irritation can be relieved by reducing the frequency of use of the drug (1 time a day or every other day). In case of severe irritation, stop using the lotion.

Interactions with other drugs and other types of interactions.

Concomitant use of Ugresol with other acne medications containing resorcinol salicylic acid sulfur tretinoin alcohol as well as with creams and lotions for and after shaving medical cosmetics abrasive and medical soaps facial cleansers can cause combined irritation and increased dryness of the skin.
