Pharmacological properties.


Pharmacodynamics.


In functional cardiovascular disorders, CARDIOPHYTE has cardiotonic, antiarrhythmic and mild hypotensive effects. For organic diseases of the cardiovascular system as part of combination therapy, CARDIOFIT optimizes the effect of antianginal, antihypertensive and antiarrhythmic drugs.


The drug has a mild sedative effect, reduces the manifestations of vegetative disorders, improves the general condition of patients, tolerance to physical exertion, contributing to optimal performance. CARDIOPHYTE when used in the daytime does not cause drowsiness and general flabbiness.


Pharmacokinetics.


Taking into account that the components of the drug are of plant origin and the effect of the drug is due to the combined effect of its components, no pharmacokinetic studies have been conducted.


Clinical characteristics.


Indications. Vegetative vascular dystonia, cardioneurosis. As part of the complex treatment of coronary heart disease (tension angina of class I–II), Hypertension (Stage I–II), paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.


Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or other plants of the Labiaceae family, as well as a known allergy to celery and birch pollen (cross-reaction is possible). Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, cholestatic disorders, severe liver and kidney diseases, depression, hypotension, bradycardia, acute myocarditis, endocarditis, pericarditis, increased blood clotting. A history of alcoholism. Simultaneous use of drugs containing ethyl alcohol, neuroleptics, tranquilizers; use of alcoholic beverages.


Interactions with other drugs and other types of interactions. The drug may enhance the effect of antianginal, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedatives, sleeping pills, analgesics, antispasmodics, cardiac glycosides, neuroleptics, tranquilizers, direct and indirect anticoagulants.


With prolonged use simultaneously with cardiac glycosides, antiarrhythmic drugs (quinidine), adrenocorticosteroids, thiazide and loop diuretics or laxatives, the water-electrolyte balance may be disturbed.


Concomitant use of the drug with aminoglycoside antibiotics should be avoided due to the increased nephrotoxic effect of aminoglycosides.


Application features. It is not recommended to use the drug in large doses for a long time (more than two months), as this can lead to violations of the water-electrolyte balance due to the presence of licorice roots in the drug.


Use during pregnancy or lactation. It is contraindicated during pregnancy. If it is necessary to use the drug, breast-feeding should be discontinued.


Ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or other mechanisms. During the period of use of the drug, you should refrain from potentially dangerous activities that require increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles and working with complex mechanisms).


Dosage and administration. Shake well before use. Apply adults inside 1 teaspoon (5 ml) 2-3 times a day 30 minutes before or 1 hour after meals. In acute forms of the disease, stressful situations, the dose can be increased by 2 times. The drug can be diluted with water in ratios of 1:3 or 1:5. the duration of Use and the frequency of courses is determined by the doctor depending on the severity of the disease and the achieved effect of treatment.


Children. The drug is contraindicated in children.


Overdose. Overdose is accompanied by acute alcohol poisoning, the symptoms of which are similar to those of ethyl alcohol poisoning. At a blood alcohol concentration of 3-4 G/L (300-400 mg/%), severe intoxication develops.


Also, in case of overdose, it is possible to reduce blood pressure, headache, dizziness, gastrointestinal disorders and increase the manifestations of adverse reactions.


Treatment: gastric lavage, use of adsorbents, symptomatic therapy.


With prolonged use in large doses, violations of the water-electrolyte balance are possible.


Adverse reactions. The drug is usually well tolerated by patients. However, given the multicomponent composition of the drug, in some cases, as a rule, with individual hypersensitivity to any component of the drug or violation of the recommended regimen, it is very rare to develop allergic reactions, including hyperemia, itching, rashes, including small-point, urticaria, angioedema; gastrointestinal disorders, including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea; bradycardia.
