Pharmacological properties

Emoxypine (3-hydroxy-6-methyl-2-ethyl-pyridine hydrochloride) has anti-inflammatory, thrombolytic and regenerative effects. in addition, it has a direct anticoagulant effect, reduces blood viscosity, reduces the permeability of the vascular wall, normalizes microcirculation, improves the functional state of ischemic tissues.

Ointment base - propylene glycol provides the permeability of Emoxypine to the depth of the surface vessels. The maximum release of the active substance begins 30 minutes after applying the ointment with a maximum concentration after 1.5 hours, which lasts for 6-8 hours.

Indications

Assign to patients with acute thrombophlebitis of superficial veins, acute anorectal thrombosis, post-injection phlebitis.

Application

Outwardly, apply a thin layer (0.1 g / cm2) 3 times a day to the skin of the affected area. with anorectal thrombosis, 1-3 g of ointment is applied 2 times a day. the duration of the course of treatment is 5-10 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Emoxypine.

Side effects

When applying the ointment to the skin, a slight burning sensation is possible, which disappears after 2-3 minutes. allergic reactions are not excluded.

Interactions
